conquerors, upnp and gaming zone in linksys router

i would like to know how to get working a linksys router. ( i get "cant join game" message)
i followed the instructions for linksys routers, and ive downloaded:
dxport
directx 9.0
can you tell me if it is possible with a berfs41(thats the model, but i dont type it correctly anyway). if so, tell me what to do, step by step.

Try using just UPnP or just DXport with UPnP enabled. The linksys instructions have worked for many people.

can you explain me how to configure UPnP?
I dont know how: could you tell me what to write in each of the settings please?
